Travel With a Purpose

We are a group of avid travelers who love exploring new destinations, experiencing different cultures, and learning about the challenges that differ from our own. On this retreat we'll partner with VISAR (Virgin Islands Search and Rescue), Tortola's volunteer maritime search and rescue organization, for our nonprofit connection — potentially participating in a community water safety or CPR education program while learning about the organization's important work.

What's Included

Accommodations, transportation, daily breakfast, most activities, some meals, and a trip T-shirt are all included. Shared bed: $1,880 · Single bed: $1,980 · $300 deposit to book. Not included: airfare from the US, optional add-ons, trip insurance, some meals, and tips for guides.

The Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to the British Virgin Islands!

Welcome to paradise! Arrive in Tortola and settle into our hotel with time to relax after your travels. Depending on arrival times, enjoy the pool or take in your first views of the Caribbean before we gather for our Welcome Dinner (included). It's the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travelers and kick off an unforgettable week together. Overnight in Tortola.

Day 2

Service & Exploring Tortola

After breakfast, we'll partner with VISAR (Virgin Islands Search and Rescue) for our nonprofit connection. While details are still being finalized, we may participate in a community water safety or CPR education program while learning about the organization's important work. Following a group lunch, enjoy free time to explore Road Town, browse local shops, or relax along the waterfront. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight in Tortola.

Day 3

Discover Virgin Gorda

Today we'll travel to the beautiful island of Virgin Gorda for a full day of exploration. Spend time enjoying stunning beaches, turquoise waters, and the relaxed island atmosphere before gathering for an included lunch. Return to Tortola in the afternoon with the evening free to relax. Overnight in Tortola.

Day 4

Jost Van Dyke Adventure

Today we visit the famous island of Jost Van Dyke. Our day begins with a short hike through the mangroves to the natural Bubbly Pool before enjoying free time for lunch, shopping, and exploring the island. We'll end the afternoon at White Bay, where you can swim, relax on the beach, or visit the iconic Soggy Dollar Bar. Overnight in Tortola.

Day 5

Catamaran to Norman Island

Spend your final full day aboard a private catamaran as we sail to the legendary Norman Island. Enjoy snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, relaxing on deck, and taking in the beauty of the Caribbean. A freshly prepared lunch is included before we return to Tortola for one last evening together. Overnight in Tortola.

Day 6

Depart the British Virgin Islands

After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the British Virgin Islands. Transfer to the airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories, new friendships, and the impact we've made together.

What is the cost?

The total cost is $1,880 for a shared bed or $1,980 for your own single bed, with a $300 deposit to book. This includes accommodations, transportation, daily breakfast, most activities, some meals, and a trip T-shirt. It excludes airfare from the US, some meals, optional add-ons, trip insurance, and tips for guides.

Should I bring money for tips?

Yes! It is always recommended to tip tour guides and others for outstanding service in any place you visit.

What documents are needed for travel?

You will need a valid US passport with at least one blank page.

What are the accommodations like?

We'll stay at a hotel on Tortola for all five nights, our home base for exploring the islands. Everyone will have their own bed unless you choose the shared bed package. It is typically 2-3 people in a room.

What if I don't want to do an activity?

You always have the option to hang back at the accommodations if you choose not to participate in an activity. No refunds are issued if you opt out of one of the included activities.

What if I have an emergency while on the trip?

We will immediately notify your listed emergency contact and help secure medical treatment for you if required. It is very important to carry trip insurance that covers medical situations.

What is the weather like?

Late June in the British Virgin Islands brings warm, sunny days in the mid-to-upper 80s, refreshing trade winds, and beautifully warm ocean water — perfect for beach days and time on the boat.
